Why I Ride...
Dale Lynn

Dale

The 2008 Mountain Bike Tour in Hinton will be Dale’s tenth year.  Dale rides in the MBT for a number of reasons:  A drive to help other people, loves riding his bike, to keep healthy & active, and to meet new people.

“The MS Society Bike Tour is a motivating factor in my life.  I am an insulin dependant diabetic who also has asthma.  The motivation for me is to try and stay active and healthy and I love riding my bike.  It’s doing a good thing for others while helping yourself.  It doesn’t really get any better than that.”

In 2003, Dale, along with a few friends he met at the MBT in prior years, founded “A Few Spokes Short.” For him, the MBT is a great way to reunite friends and get together.

Last year, A Few Spokes Short was second in team fundraising, with an amazing $19,320.75!  Among the 13 team members, is Dale’s brother, Danny, who was also second in individual fundraising, raising over $7,500.
