Why I Ride...
Mario Saab

Mario Saab

My name is Mario Saab also Known as Marwan, I came over as a student from Lebanon to Canada, Alberta 8 years ago.  Since then I have participated in the RONA MS Bike Tour (Leduc to Camrose) in 2007 and 2008. In this year’s tour, I raised over $9000 which brought joy to my heart. It was not about the destination it was more so about the journey to get to my goal.

When I look at the participation in MS bike tours all over Canada and the amount of donations raised, I feel privileged to be part of this, it became apparent to me that this community, this province, this country have unquestionably assumed primary responsibility towards the MS cause and became a leading role model for others around the world.

A close friend of mine once told me, your success in life is measured by what you leave behind.  Your wealth is part of what you leave behind for your beloved ones, but most importantly you will be remembered by the unselfish acts you did and by the amount of souls and hearts you reached across to protect and help.

With that thought in mind I encourage everyone reading this to start thinking of ways to support the MS society, to make unselfish decisions that bolster benevolence and altruism.  If you postpone your involvement, the chances are that you will indulge in your procrastination. The time is now.

I would like to thank all my corporate sponsors and most importantly my mentor, my boss and my friend Blair Tomkinson, who is and will always be instrumental in helping me shape my career, my visions and my endeavors in many different aspect of life.
