For The Newly Diagnosed

A number of resources and programs exist for individuals recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Newly diagnosed resources are geared to individuals who have received a diagnosis of MS within the past two years as well as anyone who has been diagnosed for a number of years and has recently experienced new disease activity.

The following resources may be of assistance:

Divisions and chapters of the MS Society of Canada offer educational programs for individuals newly diagnosed on a regular basis. The programs are an important source of information about the disease for persons with MS and provide the opportunity to talk with others about coping with the challenges of living with multiple sclerosis.
